I wish higher points would not be available to the end user if they miss an earlier game
In Pro Football Pick'em, I really wish people would not be allowed to pick the higer points if they miss an earlier game.

I would not want to enforce this but have no issues if it's an option for leagues to choose. Missing an early game, either by accident or intentional, is still lowering their overall ceiling for the week. You're making an assumption on what their points would or should have been. Yeah, it's unlucky if a big favorite loses on Thursday and one person doesn't have to lose as many points as they might have and others did. But if someone tries that "strategy" every week, they'll lose in the long run.
P.S. I always get my picks in on time so I'm coming at this objectively. :)

I don’t think this is as big of a deal. It’s only one game and players knowing that is equivalent to them choosing 1 pt in a way.

It is ridiculous that people who forget to enter their pick(s) for the early game(s) only lose the minimum point values (1pt, 2pts, etc). They should lose the max pts available. All players in my pool feel the same way and are frustrated by this. Yahoo, please fix for next season!!!

Totally agree, people can sit games out if they want and see others lose big points.

I think if a person misses the Thursday night game he shouldn’t be able to use the highest available points, because if someone who picks the game and gets it wrong they lose their points what they put in the person who didn’t will still be able to pick the high points instead of being penalized for not picking the game
