Hire Community Guidelines Reviewers who didn't get their education from a comic book!
The guidelines review process is flawed and ineffective to achieve its stated goals. For those of us who have worked as editors ourselves, we see evidence of a distinct aura of personal or institutional bias in your process. I admit to 'experimenting' with the process to try and determine how my post exceeded others in my not adhering to "guidelines", but only because I was frustrated with not being able to give factual info without personal commentary and still being blocked. You can improve by eliminating bias, and being more vigilant in denying intentional name-calling and interpersonal attacks.

Tech is the Answer, but patience would be required. Manufacturers would have to be incentivized to comply and kits to put the tech in existing guns be developed. Then offer a program to pay gun specialists to install them. There are several biometric techniques that can be used for firearm identification and control. Here are some examples:
1 Retinal scans: This biometric technology identifies an individual by scanning their retina. The pattern of blood vessels in the retina is unique to each person and can be used as a form of identification. An authorized user would have their retina scanned to enable the firearm to fire.
2 Facial recognition: Facial recognition technology can be used to identify an authorized user of a firearm. A camera on the firearm could scan the user's face and compare it to a pre-authorized list of users. If the user's face matches one of the authorized users, the firearm would be enabled to fire.
3 Voice recognition: Voice recognition technology can be used to identify an authorized user of a firearm. The user would speak a pre-set passcode to enable the firearm to fire.
4 RFID technology: Radio frequency identification (RFID) technology could be used to control firearm access. An RFID tag could be implanted in the authorized user's hand, and the firearm would only fire when the tag is in close proximity to the gun.
Fingerprint tech is already available from all big 5 manufacturers.
