How about you make the homepage almost like a windows 8-like setup, with the bigger windows being the more trending articles and the smaller articles being the less trending articles.. Obviously your goal is to get people to see more articles at once, assuming that people are leaving your homepage quickly due to lack of interest in the shown news stories or to a numb feeling of familiarity. Fine. Then at least do us a favor and do the sorting out of the annoying articles for us. Nobody wants to be bombarded with 500 different things at once. This is…

Start over
The only positive thing I can say about the new page is the menu to the left would be good if it included a link for local news stories.
Otherwise the page is horrible with the worst part being the constant movement in the column containing the stories with the most visits. I would make suggestions but the page is so bad the only way to fix it would be to start over.

New yahoo homepage is brutal. Please change it back to the classic format.
As a consumer it is an awful thing to have to keep adjusting to changes that make the experience worse instead of better. No doubt I will be looking at new homepage locations now.

Functionality
The new format does not have the functionality of the old one. Although I don't like the look I will get used to. However: several pages are no longer accessible from the homepage (i.e. Celebrity); the horoscope is not personalized but stuck on the sign for the current month (plus the current service does not allow you to look ahead even one day; sports teams are no longer personalized; weather is no longer personalized; news stories do not have the diversity they did before (on my feed they are mostly entertainment with almost no us or world news stories).
