Your news feeds lack diversity.
I used to work for Yahoo in a position of leadership. News feeds and content were often a topic of discussion. In a discussion with Jerry Yang the topic of moderating real and fake content came up. Jerry said it was a good idea but who do you get to moderate? His feeling is that whoever is moderating the content will always have some sort of bias. Marissa Myer also feared that the news feeds were becoming too left. I can say that her fear is confirmed. Since this election year started, my feeds have been overflowing with hit articles negatively targeting the right. It's also apparent that the comments are being moderated with the same bias. When you read through the comments in the end, it seems that left leaning comments that violate your community standards are somehow approved. Right leaning comments are not. I have been a user of Yahoo since it was created. I can honestly say that I no longer align with the news feeds and it is looking more like a political PAC, and not a fair and balanced news feed. Suggestion, provide a feedback link to each news outlet being shown in the feed. Allow users to opt out of "Opinion" articles. Many times they spin data to support a political party. It's not a true representation and I could care less about someone's opinion. Let the users score their feed. (i.e. how likely would you recommend yahoo to a friend, does the content align with your interests, do you find value in the content, what media outlets would you like to see on your home page, etc)
