The Income Statement, Balance Sheet,Cash Flow tabs are sluggish
When I click the header of the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cashflow, the reaction time is very sluggish. I don't believe it's a retrieval issue because it's still slow at re-displaying data it already has displayed. It's almost as if it's not kept in memory and it's re-retrieved from the data source. When I selected 'Expand All" it doesn't remember that I did select the Expand view from one tab to the next. Why not have a Yahoo Profile parameter where the Yahoo member can indicate his preference for the Expand All view by default so he doesn't have to waste time clicking it. The collapsed view is displayed each time and I don't even look at it because I click on Expand All so it wastes time displaying something I don't want to see. I have to wait for the site to be finish displaying the collapsed view before it will take into account my click on the Expanded All option.
Normally I look at 15 stocks in my watch list a day. Yahoo Finance Canada is one website I consult as are Morningstar and Guru Focus. The time I spend looking at the data for a stock has about tripled because of the changes to Yahoo Canada. With the History data which can no longer be copied on the clipboard, I have to get this data from the tmxmoney website and they don't present a full year of price movement like the old Yahoo Canada did so it's more clicks. I will also look at about 20 or so stocks not on my watchlist to see if they should be added.
The information presented appears to be essentially the same as the old site (just less accessible) aside for esthetics. I don't understand why Yahoo is wasting money on this project.
I don't understand why you put -- on fields supposed to contain an amount instead of having an empty string or a zero. -- is not a number

Yeah this new site has a better overall aesthetic look, a few new data sets that are helpful with more statisitcs, but that's about it. Even some of the stats though are kinda useless i.e. it shows the historical P/E's & P/S by quarter, but who looks at those stats by quarter...I'd want to see that by YEAR, not by quarter, but both would be ok. The graphs don't work well; I can't even access the 'Max' chart most of the time. It crashes. The charts also distort information as the main page chart is way too long & narrow. Longer term charts in the advanced chart make big swings in the stock price look like minor drops; the covid crash looks like a minor 10 to 15% pullback, but was closer to 30% for the overall market (world index). So the charts don't display the stock prices very well, the old format was WAY better at that. & it never crashed. Please bring back some of the old features.
