Search Box User Experience Idea
When one clicks on the search box and adds a letter: an acrylic drop-down box appears. Instead the whole surrounding area should be like that when one starts typing in the box.

Favorites transform, hamburger menu, narrow down picture of the instance
One tick down with the mouse wheel should transform favorites into trending headlines (boxes with thumbnails; like Bing). Any other further ticks down with the mouse wheel goes below like Bing, but Yahoo can decide what they want below.
The trending headlines at the top should be replaced with Yahoo portals: Images, Videos,Yahoo.com, Answers, Mail, Weather.
The settings should be a hamburger menu and one should be able to further narrow down what kind of Flickr photos they want. For example: I like plants and fungi pictures, BUT I also prefer for them to have dark environments/atmospheres. That would be…

Need more then 9 favorite buttons. How can I add more with out deleting what I have?

Favorite Buttons
The ability to change the way the buttons look when editing favorites by adding our own URL. Adding a name for the button is nice but a picture or logo upload would be nice so it is more appealing.

I like nearly all of the background pictures that come up especially the nature pictures.
I like the variety of backgrounds that I see. I wouldn't change anything.

Random Background Picture sometimes horrible!!
When I open my Yahoo search sometimes the background picture is a horrible butterfly, i hate that! It is so big and I have to close asap. Now everytime I open Yahoo search I am so afraid that it would come up to be a butterfly again. I need to consider if I need to change to use google
