WHY???
First Messenger, now this...not only do I dislike the color scheme, but again functionality has been sacrificed for some absolutely unknown reason. I've been using Yahoo since 1999, but increasingly dissatisfied with the changes...some of us still use non-touch laptops and desktops...what happened to choice?

these programmers don't work to a well researched and defined spec which satisfies a need. They just '*** IT UP A BIT' because nothing has changed for some years. They do not appreciate that they are messing with a tool which millions of people have become dependent upon. Their actions are tantamount to taking a workman's right handed tools and changing them to left handed all in the name of progress. It is crass. In legacy systems it would not be attempted because of the cost and complexity of programming. But modern systems languages mean that the programmers can completely re-hash the on screen presentation in a matter of hours, with the minimum of testing (how can you test when there is no defined outcome) and NO FALLBACK CAPABILITY. It sucks.
