How can we improve New Mail?

I'm trying to sign in on a different browser. I know my user name and password, but it keeps saying to check my phone and it isn't my phone

I'm trying to sign in on a different browser. I know my user name and password, but it keeps saying to check my phone and it isn't even my phone. I'd like for it to work the way the "HELP" says it will "Access your Yahoo Mail from any computer with an internet connection by using your Yahoo ID and password to sign in to your account. Once you sign in, all your familiar settings will be there waiting for you."

    I need into an old account for some of the rewards cards I have for some stores. I can’t recall my password and the backup email is shut down because I stopped using it 10+ years ago. I shouldn’t have to pay to get help back into my account. That’s ******* stupid. Why do we even set up security questions to get back into stuff if it’s not even option to get back in? No wonder people switched over to google.
