Where are the e-mail Notifications?

What happened to the e-mail notifications? As of a few days ago I have to go to Mail to see if there are any new e-mails.

On the desktop, make sure you have notifications turned on in the settings. On mobile devices, check the app’s notification settings as well as the notification settings for the device itself.

    After iOS 12 came out, I haven’t seen a notification from my Yahoo Mail app. I tried to turn on notifications, but it doesn’t exist in my settings in my iPhone 8.
