Saved emails can easily be unintentionally deleted
When using "search for messages from this sender" the default parameter is "All Mail". This feature by default searches all mail in all folders including folders created by the user. When there is a large search list displayed, it is very hard to designate the emails that are already saved against the emails you want to potentially delete. In the search results there is no designation as to the location of the email as in previous versions of Yahoo Mail. Not until opening the header and displaying the contents of the email is the location displayed in the upper RH corner. This search feature would be best used to list emails with "Inbox" set as the default folder to determine emails to save or delete. Therefore the "check all" box at the top of the list can be used without fear of deleting already filed emails in user created folders. Allow the USER to expand to "All Mail" to include their created folders to check that certain emails are already filed in the correct created folders. Otherwise, it is likely that the user may easily unintentionally delete emails that were meant to be saved.
1. Put back the location of the email in Header Listings
2. Allow the USER to set the default search folder

Exactly my same problem. I place things in folders because I have chosen to save them. When I am in my normal mail mode & choose to search for a group, for instance Groupon, for the purpose of deleting-this does not mean that I want ALL-including the ones I purposely saved!! to be deleted. There should either be an option to be inbox ONLY or change it to that & let folks go to the folders separately. I have unknowingly deleted e-mails that included initial information that I NEEDED to keep because why in the world would you include a folder when doing a mass delete?
So current situation is when I do a mass delete, I have to scan every single one to be sure that it is not one I already thought I saved to a "safe place"
It only makes sense to search all over the place if I chose a subject instead of the sender.
I have purchases I made with Tophatter that for whatever reason I feel I need to keep. They keep sending me messages about upcoming items daily-these are the only ones I want deleted. But when I do the search & get the 25 items the first time, I have to uncheck nearly all of them. The second time I have to uncheck them AGAIN but I think there are usually 50 messages, then it raises to 100-but I have to uncheck these for each grouping!! Highly annoying
