It's cumbersome to select a SORT each time I open the app. Give us a DEFAULT SORT that we can set once and be done with it. You shouldn't be defining our default soft.

Does Yahoo actually care what people want? I've tried to get the Sort option to default to Starred for a long time and it doesn't matter.
That would be nice.....I do like the "last week" or "earlier" and I like to sort my emails by date. But in the sent folder I would like to sort by recipient, however, the option there is to sort by sender. Well of course, I am sending all of the emails, so this option is of no use. Please bring back, or add an additional option, to sort by recipient. This was very convenient until it was changed to sender. I have reviewed all of the closed/reviewed by yahoo comments on this and the links provided lead to no where and I do not have conversations turned on, nor do I want them turned on to access this option. Please keep it simple.....just allow us to click on the column header to do a sort....then everyone wins.
I completely agree with this comment. My preferred sort is "Unread".... which eliminates headings such as "Last Week" or "Earlier in February." These headings ADD NO VALUE (since the message dates are clearly displayed on screen already) and merely take up screen space. When I searched for this idea (sort configuration which persists for each user, rather than returning to the default of "Date:Newest on Top"), I see that it has been suggested a number of times, but I have not seen a response. Instead, these posts carry a label "reviewed."
