There is no way to automatically add contacts to yahoo mail
Why can't I add contacts automatically from my emails?
Yahoo says to do below, but there is no automatic add in the new yahoo mail.
In Yahoo Mail, mouse over the Settings menu icon Small gear icon | select Settings.
Click Writing email.
Select Automatically add new recipients to Contacts.
- You can deselect this option if you change your mind.
Click Save.

I've looked through the 'Writing' option (it's on the left hand side, which they unhelpfully didn't bother to mention) and every other option but there's no "Automatically add new recipients" anywhere. I've just found a page to tell me and it seems you now have to do everything manually through the Contacts icon, ie. go here then select "Add a new contact" and copy the email address.
Utterly abysmal. I'll be checking out the opposition now as Yahoo has completely lost any advantage that it used to have. Accounts hacked multiple times, not coming clean about it and now they can't even be bothered to have a simple email functionality that was common 20 years ago. Presumably you have to subscribe or buy an add-on or a Pro account to get something so simple. -

Yahoo email seems to devolve on a daily basis.

Still unable to add a contact or copy the contact email with a right click to save to my pc contact list. Please fix this problem.

I don't want to automatically add all contacts. I want to be able to continue, as in the old classic email format, to be able to hover over a contact in an email address line, whether it's one I sent or received, and click "add to contacts". I don't need every single contact added to my contact list.
