The new 'Contact' format is too difficult to navigate. The old way was much better!
Go back to the old way of accessing contacts.

The contacts pane is now on the right-hand side of the screen instead of a completely different browser tab. Check this article for more info:https://help.yahoo.com/kb/SLN28059.html
