  1. Question please: Why is it always thought that a format has to be dramatically changed without option to retain a successful existing one?

Paying business customers deserve continuity and the option to retain existing presentation formats or opt for different ones

  7. Animated backgrounds.

Most people I know would rather have real photo's than clip art guys. Now if you want to really sell this "new format", you could try animated backgrounds! Yeah, that's the ticket! Animation. Try being innovative for a change.

  8. type face too light

The typeface used in the new Yahoo mail is too light and hard to read. Why change it? It was fine before.

  12. Changes suck

This new mail theme sucks! The features behind the scenes should remain the same, no matter what version you are running. I had to upgrade to get "Filters" feature available. You give themes for color, but not enough options. So it looks sloppy. If I use IE, I get constantly popping-up script error.

  13. Oh dear. The Windows Vista version of Yahoo Mail rears its ugly head!

Looks like a child designed it and it's aimed at children. Grow up. Be professional!

  14. So, how come we cannot choose our own gradients for the e-mail backgrounds? It's not like it will be a problem to pick up ******* colours.

  17. Get rid of all the fancy ****!

Get rid of all the fancy *! The reason I like Classic Mail is because there wasn't a lot of distracting * and color strewn about the page. It looks like a bunch of fancy-pants San Francisco engineers got ahold of the pastel paint pens and went crazy while on mushrooms.

    Don't **** with mail!!!!

  18. We need different colours for different accounts back!!!

Seriously, why on earth would Yahoo staff decide to remove this option?? Don't they use Yahoo email themselves?? Not impressed

  19. Please do not have any ads allowed it is terribly annoying and time consuming to get rid of permanently.

Please do not allow the ads on yahoo mail it is terribly annoying and time consuming to get rid of. I have had my yahoo account for years and in recent years have work emails with gmail. I do not want to move permanently there but with these ads popping up every time I go on it is INFURIATING

  20. These new themes are horrible on the eyes. It actually hurts to look at my computer screen now. The contrast is too great.

Bring back the old view as a theme option people can choose. How does it help to FORCE people to pick a new theme/ It's a THEME for goodness sake, NOT functionality. These new themes hurt my eyes and now I have to move to gmail as my primary email after using yahoo since 1997. Whoever decided people needed to be forced to pick from a handful of unattractive themes & colors with NO other choices, needs to go back to college and learn about marketing to the masses, NOT the 12 people who thought it was a good idea.
