The auto-refresh is invasive and disruptive. It happens when you are deep into studying the chart for no benefit whatsoever. If I want to refresh, I can do that. Why would I want the chart to reset itself.
The other problem is the change of the time scale. I like to use the monthly chart that goes back to 4 years. Before (that was 4-6 weeks ago, I think) I could change the symbol and the chart for the new stock would be shown exactly in the same time frame. Now the whole monthly chart is loaded going back to 10yrs +. I have to manually zoom in. Then, boom! The auto-refresh kicks in and I go back 10yrs+. It is an incredible frustrating experience. I have no idea why the developers decided to introduce this auto-refresh, unless you want to artificially increase the hits on this web site to inflate the usage figures.

Totally. It is one of the most frustrating "upgrades". You look at the chart when suddenly Yahoo decided to do the auto-refresh. It is just an experience killer, especially when you use the long term charts like Monthly.
