Get rid of the comments section
Get rid of the comments section completely. No need for them. Too many trolls and all ppl do is argue, plus lots of misinformation being spread. A few sites have done this already. We don't need to hear everybody's opinion on news. If I wanna know soneone's opinion I'll ask!

Hateful, racist comments should be blocked. Or just don't allow comments at all. For majority of the articles that I've read, the comments seem to be from Trump supporting racist. They state they are avid Trump supporters, then that they blatantly make racist statements about black people. I'm a black woman and like to stay abreast of current events. It is beyond offensive to read an article, that is factual and poised, only to then see the abhorrent, hateful, obscene comments below. There are numerous news outlets that do not allow for comments sections and this would be why. This isn't new, I've been seeing the comments for over a year since I started following Yahoo News. No matter the topic, the comments seem to go back to political party lines and racist rhetoric. I think now would be a good time to put a stop to it. I'm sure I could come up with a million and 1 stereotypes about the white commentators, but I don't need to and I wasn't raised to be a hateful person. It's obvious these people are miserable and soulless, looking to place the blame on black people and people of color for the disparities in their lives, the economy, the country, etc.. I'm not miserable and refuse to be of such a low character to degrade another person in that manner.

The comment section is the only reason many of us use Yahoo. You aren't being forced to read them. Instead of getting rid of them, Yahoo needs to make much needed changes of which the users have been begging them to do forever.

If you don't like the comments don't read them America is a free FREE free country for some of us especially if you're a liberal or a Mexican
