Since the Spam no longer indicates any spam, nobody looks in that folder.
If they do, even in the next week of "New", they will be horrified by the amount of Spam or Spam-like (real email) and refuse to deal with the mass mess.
Bring the Spam number back and humans can (try to) keep up with it.

Nothing was wrong with the classic version. Nothing at all.
But now? Spam folder doesn't show number of messages in it. I have to click and open it. WHY?TOO **** MUCH UGLY PURPLE! Classic was much simpler.
And WHY NOW do I have to click go to old version EVERY TIME I OPEN EMAIL! Leave it the *** ALONE!
And I know now classic will go away for good. You already did that to one of my three accounts. At least I don't use that one often. But now your going to RUIN my daily email. I would love to find the person who thought this mess was a good idea and rattle your cage. BOTH ears, shake your head until a few brain cells actually connect.
Idiots.
By the way.... when someone clicks LEAVE FEEDBACK it's not cool to send them to this forum like board and post into the wind where no one will actually see it. Same genius came up with this idea too no doubt. Brain dead excuses for web developers.

I would like to know how many emails I have in the Spam and Trash folders like all the other folders. I go over the senders and then I delete them, just in case something wound up in there that should not have, but I don't want to keep checking to see how many emails there are in those folders for me to check. I like to keep that number low. I hope you can do it. Thanks.

When I check mail, there is no indication I have any mail- particularly the spam folder. A lot of mail is going to accumulate there since I won't know it needs attention.
I guess I'll start shifting my email to another account/service that actually works.
