How can we improve New Yahoo Mail Basic?

bring back classic mail

Please change back to the classic Yahoo Mail! There are certain features that I can't do on the current version that I could do in the old classic mail version, such as dragging an email to a folder. How am I now able to do that?! I am frequently dragging things to folders, and it is imperative that I have this feature re-instated.

    I have used ONLY Yahoo for over 20 years but i will change over to gmail if you don't put my mailbox back to the way it looked last week. This is ********! Change is NOT always better and you guys ****** this up so bad it is unusable. FIX IT!!!!!!!!!

    The new format is absolutely awful! I cannot even select multiple emails to delete at a time. What was wrong with the old format?

    I also want the Classic. It allowed me to easily switch between Yahoo email accounts. Now I can't do that. This new interface is horrible and I can't select my viewing preferences (color, etc).

    I too want to go back to the classic email from February 28th. I cannot stand the new basic, cannot stand the new plus, every time I delete an email, the entire page refreshes. I move an email? The entire page refreshes. These two designs are the most abominable designs yet. If you're reading these comments and not lying to us that you are and then just ignoring this forum, you should have asked people to join some kind of design input group because this is the worse possible thing you could have done. It's obnoxious, unusable, and frankly, when my plus account comes due, probably won't be worth renewing. Just ridiculous.

    Need a second scroll bar for just the emails an not the whole page. It is a pain to move emails to different location. This version is absolutely terrible. I'm not sure I have seen one comment that likes this version. Too bad yahoo doesn't care about their customers enough to listen.

    Inbox always stays highlighted (active). If you click on a folder, you will see the first 25 emails in it but if you need to advance to the next page of emails within the folder, or you want to sort within it, you are taken back to your Inbox and the advance or sort is applied to the Inbox. Result: you are now unable to see more than 25 emails in your folders, nor can you sort within your folders.

    Change it back!! This is awful - definitely not an improvement. Not user friendly. More steps to navigate. Why mess with a good thing.

    go back to the old format where you can see all your emails by just scrolling down

    Bring back the old yahoo classic !!!!! you have thousands of complaints!!! the new classic is a DISASTER on all accounts,, you made it twice as hard and twice as time consuming to perform each function and eliminated all useful features,, It's not a "basic" email,, its basically NOTHING,,, maybe in 1990 it would have been great, but in 2025 it is nothing but a JOKE ,,,

    I concur with the commenters below. I cannot stand the harsh white screen full of email texts. My classic email gave me a choice on the layout of the screen, so it was not so harsh on my eyes. This new version is too harsh. There is too much white all over the page. Why did you even think that an all-white background was good for the end user?

    The old email showed me which emails I had responded to. The new one does not give me that information, which is very helpful to know which ones I have addressed

    I am 100% in agreement with the above comment. Give me back my Classic email. I can't stand the new color (purple) and I can't figure out how to change it. Basic tasks like moving mail to folders is now more difficult.
