How can we improve New Yahoo Mail Basic?

bring back classic mail

Please change back to the classic Yahoo Mail! There are certain features that I can't do on the current version that I could do in the old classic mail version, such as dragging an email to a folder. How am I now able to do that?! I am frequently dragging things to folders, and it is imperative that I have this feature re-instated.

    The new version looks horrible, is a nightmare to use, and shouldn't be forced on people please switch it back or make an option for users to opt out of the change entirely

    Just give us the option to go back to what we have used for the last 30 yrs and stop trying to look cool by changing it. If you can't then it is time to get everyone that uses yahoo to change to another company. I have not problem starting that.

    Go back to the old Yahoo mail. This is the worst. What you are calling the old Yahoo mail isn't, and the new one is impossible to deal with. What did we do wrong to make this happen? They both are horrible. I have had my email address for 15 years and now I feel like I have to move to a new provider

    Take it back to the old system, so I don't have to waste so much time getting through my emails. Used to if you had a bunch on emails checked and then opened another email, the boxes would still be checked when you exited that email and now it unchecks all of them. This sysem is a wasie of time.

    Give me back my inbox from last week. I do not like the "new standard" inbox that looks like Gmail and when I click in the settings to go to the basic Yahoo! Mail version, I get taken to some super basic, ugly inbox. My color scheme is now white and purple. The search is less helpful. I'm not seeing all my emails like I did before. I do not like it. I do not care for it. I do not want your "new" version of the standard or the basic. Give me back my inbox from last week. I don't even care why you're trying to change it, I don't want it. Please give me back my old inbox, with my old inbox features and my old inbox customizations.

    I have multiple email accounts, devoted to mostly different purposes. This one was for mainly commercial / company correspondences, and was arguably the 2nd. most important one of the lot. It had an advantage of allowing for much larger attachments, or collected attachments -- up to I think a max. of 20 MB per email. No idea if / how that may have now changed. Anyway, 3 *other* email accounts that fall under the AT&T - Yahoo banner, but which originally belonged to domains that they took over, fortunately remain just as they long had been -- so far -- with familiar and well-functioning Classic Email designs. And you DESTROYERS of *this* Yahoo email account make me so glad that I held onto my oldest email account, at EarthLink (even despite their tiers structure and graduated pricing), which has not changed at all in like 25 years (!), going all the way back to dial-up modem days, and which has exhibited NONE of the grave faults and glitches being described here repeatedly. AT&T / Yahoo also periodically locks me out of my accounts there, for from hours to days, due entirely to some problem that exists solely *at THEIR end.*

    You've even gone so far as to *also* change what is here presented as the "Classic" email. I reverted to that, but it is also now most unsatisfactory. At the risk of re-enumerating what many others here have noted, here is my list:

    1. Major inadvertent Deleting of hundreds of past emails -- much too easy to occur now, and the consequences are DISASTROUS. This was NOT due to any user error on my part ! I'm extremely careful !
    We won't be able to get these back.

    2. We no longer have control over the Font Size (it always defaults to a very tiny font), or Bold, Italic, etc. Can't find those at all, unless they are now very well hidden away. This is a major dis-improvement.

    3. When you check the boxes for an action to several emails -- such as for Deletion -- and then before taking that action STAR as important for attention ANY other email, the previously checked boxes suddenly get UN-checked. This is poor and clumsy design on your part.

    4. There is NO **Back** Button ! All of my 4 other email accounts have this ! It's a *fundamental* feature.

    5. I want the OLD Classic Yahoo Mail back, just as it still exists in my other email accounts that fall under the Yahoo domain "umbrella." WHY can't I still have this remain all the same in THIS Yahoo email account ?

    I don't want to leave, but you may be forcing my hand.

    Roll back all the changes to Basic 2 years. Your changes have been terrible. I know you want me to change to the full-featured version, the only thing worse than the changes you've made to basic is the so called full featured version. Look at the suggested changes, they all point out features you've cut out. Please!

    Bring back Classic View! Whoever thought this was a good idea needs to be fired. When making a upgrade it should be harder to do things it's suppose to be easier.

    The new format sucks, can't block spam senders anymore and if I want to switch accounts, I am then logged out automatically and have to sign in each time to switch back and forth.

    I HATE yahoo standard, why does yahoo basic keep randomly switching to it, I absolutely HATE it, please stop it from happening, it's a real pain!!

    Neither of these options are what it used to be. This is terrible!
    Return to the previous version. You are calling one Standard and one Basic but they are not what I had before just a couple days ago.

    You even managed to crew up the old version of Yahoo mail. I don't know why you think you need to make "improvements" to things that work just fine the way they are. Your "improvements" never improve anything. All they do is ***** things up!

    1.You can no longer add a sub-folder to the folders.
    2.You can no longer expand or collapse folders.
    3.You can no longer move emails to folders by typing the name
    4. Anything you do you have to hit "Apply"
    5. You can't have your business information in emails you send even though you still give the ability to edit the information
    6. That big box of info at the top of the email telling me what my emails says is useless.
    7. Trying to post this is irritating

    Hello. What in the heck did you do to mail? Your new version is not for me at all. I go back to basic and that's all jacked up too. I can't even go to dark mode!
