every email account looks identical. ****** purple. If you have more than one mail account--they are identical and hard to tell apart.

PLEASE GIVE ME BACK THE CLASSIC BACKGROUND THEMES OR I WILL SWITCH TO GMAIL! Please give me back the beautiful illustrations while I check my mail. This is the only reason I use Yahoo email. This is a step back in progress as the illustrations incentivized younger people like me to use this over Gmail.

Im dyslexic and i cant read over this white backround, bring the themes back. If i wanted a white backround i would have gmail.

I wish the Basic Mail would still have the option to change themes. I enjoy the simplified layout of Basic Mail. The look of Standard Version mail is too busy and disturbing. I really enjoyed Classic Mail with custom colors and themes. Please restore that option for users like me. I know there are may others that feel the same (check Reddit).

I was totally against this new format. I've been able to address many of them through the settings option. The one that I haven't been overcome is the white background when reading the email in full view, especially at night, it is overwhelming. Please give us the option to select different level of shading in this area.

I dislike the light or dark appearance, light is to bright & dark is to dark, I like when I can add my own color like the old yahoo.

Add similar themes to the new version as there was before please. It made it easier for people to see read and unread messages in dark or light mode. Right now gray or not gray is not exactly making unread messages stick out.

Too Bright.....tooo dark. Where are the colored backgrounds?????? Bring back the purple.

In the former version of Yahoo, I uploaded my own background image, and I was able to make my email visually easy for my eyes to read. I'd like to be able to get my old background back or be able to upload my own image again. Thank you.

I do not like the looks of the new email at all. Previously, I was able to change the color background but I don't see that there's a way to do that again. I love pink and had a very pleasing look with that. The new look is disappointing and it's disappointing that you can't change the background color.

We will keep this in the main page, as we are getting a few questions on this. Yes, we have simplified our themes. We have no plans at this time in adding more themes/colors/backgrounds. We had a whole bunch, but a majority of our users stuck with the default color. The usage was too low and the upkeep was too much. We know not the answer you want, but we wanted to give you context. Thanks!

Your choice of the new DARK black OR BRIGHT white background is giving me migraines - go back to colored background.

I strongly dislike the new layout/theme and wish there was a way to go back. The white is too bright and the black is too dark.
