I'm on an 80 MBPS internet connection and the new mail version is so INCREDIBLY slow that I could go make a sandwich in the amount of time it takes to load an email. This is really bad.

Simple Text non-graphical interface was perfect, bring it back. Sometimes people don't want all the bells and whistles, they just want to read and reply and get it over with.. and not hog up memory on their device. This is Yahoo, not Apple..

Put my OLD version of basic email back. I do not want and did not ask for you to change things. The OLD version of basic email works just fine. Stop changing things just because you can.
Don't tell me the OLD version is not supported. You put a link under "accounts" to the old version. I now have to take extra steps to get my email the way I like it.
New color scheme and functions are ****. Very jaring to my eyes. Please let me change back to the old version permanently.

I want the old version back, please restore it or give us the option to choose that one. The new colors are jarring, and the interface is poor.

I like the old version. Please leave mine alone. Thanks

I agree. There is no need to fix what is not broken. We like Yahoo Mail the way it was. Is there any way to get the old version permanently?

The new colors are so eye jarringly bad that it's setting off a migraine. The supposedly new basic is worse than the 'new mail' that you keep trying to push on us, which also is horrid to use. The old basic has all that I need to use it, all that I want to use, and doesn't clutter up my screen with unnecessary anything but ads.
I realize Yahoo got bought out by Verizon/AOL, but this isn't going to make mail more profitable. It'll make it less profitable and will end up with yahoo closing mail, which is probably the intention but the users are really tired of these merry-go-round changes to see how we like things. We don't like any of the new things. That's why we've kept with basic mail for years.

1) I don't like the new basic version at all.
2) The sudden change scared me - I thought my account had been hacked. It caused great concern.
3) I hate having to sign out twice .... yes, I'm sure I want to sign out when I click the sign out button.
4) Please allow me and others to use the previous version of basic mail. Thanks for your consideration.

Go to the masthead and to the LEFT of "Sign Out" there is 'Account Inf' - it is a drop down box; the bottom choice is "Go to old version".
Choose that and use the "GO" button on the right.
Just be aware, I have used that EVERY time I have signed in and Yahoo keeps changing it back.

And why is the spam folder number of messages no longer shown? It makes it harder to use with the changes, and that is just silly.

New "basic" seems to be a combination of the old text based and the "newest" Yahoo mail.
Not bad, combines features of both. However, the old text based is way cleaner and faster. The only drawback to the old email, and I think this is by design, is that an HTML based email can't be forwarded, (and Replies look all glitchy). So a Forward requires a switch to the "newest" then back to the old when done. I'll try this for a while. Using Yahoo email since 1998 -
