Many of us leave previous emails in the string so that we don't have to keep referring back and forth, and to eliminate the chance of missing something. Also critical to this is seeing everyone the emails (all of them!) were sent to. This eliminates someone claiming they weren't notified. Once upon a time YAHOO had a great system. Simple, uncomplicated. Stop messing with success. Sometimes plain is best.
