Groups in contacts
It used to be simple to add or delete a contact from a group, but now it seems to be impossible. Go back to the old way or publish instructions on how to do it now.

I have been with Yahoo and Yahoo Mail from the very beginning. What you have done to the contacts lists, the difficulty in adding members to various subgroups and the truncating of the group list when attempting to send a group email is unbelievable. If this is your way of telling me to move to gmail or hotmail or outlook or some other email platform, you are succeeding. Correct these problems soon or I will be saying "adios" after all these years. Whatever happened to "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".

I lost some contacts in GROUPS. I no longer know how to add them back. I do not like this new contact list. I did nothing to my groups but when I try to use it half the contacts in one group are gone!

Same problem as everyone else. I'm the editor of the monthly newsletter for my dog obedience group and can't add new members to my contacts list for this group. Hopefully I can remember who the new members are and can add them manually to the list for mailing every month.

here is a good one. I am signed into yahoo email, but to leave a comment it tells me I need to sign into email. it just keeps getting worse.

Can't stand the new contacts set up! Most of my group contacts have disappeared. Have read several ways that are supposed to fix this but can not figure any of them either. Having same issues as Melody. Really screwing up my record keeping system that I used to love through Yahoo mail. If can't figure out soon will have to start over elsewhere!

I had an epiphany last night about what is happening at Yahoo. I believe that for the past few years they have been cutting back on staff, not only in quantity but quality, and hiring the cheapest possible labor, consequently they now have programmers with only the most basic, rudimentary knowledge and savvy. This could account for the downslide in Yahoo quality in every arena. You know those spammy posts in the community boards from lowlifes who write things like, "Yahoo support really helped me! Thanks guys!!! Call 855-xxx-xxxx" . . . .? Yahoo support threads are littered with them. I think they're actually from real Yahoo employees! It's a shame. Many years ago, believe it or not, yahoo was considered THE go-to search engine. How things have deteriorated since then. :(

I am having the same issues. I need to create a email group with approximately 24 people, the list option will not find the people that I have in my address book, and won't just let me add an email to the list by the email address. This is very frustrating.

I can't add existing contacts to a group list. No way to update it?!?! I see several lines with the same contact name but with different info. like name/email, name/phone number, etc.. Why not just one contact. I like the way it was before. It was easy to add new contacts and assign them to a list. I'm frustrated!

Like everyone else, I can't add a contact to my list. Of course, for $4.99/month I can get help with it. Perhaps this is why Yahoo chooses not to fix a problem!

Used to see what lists a contact was associated with and remove or add them from a list from their contact info. The only way I can know if a contact is associated with any list is to review ALL lists. Dumb!

When I add a contact to a contact list, lets say list 1, it doesn't show up. Is this going to be fixed.

Issues: Does not display alphabetically: No way to select if you want to display names by first or last name: Secondary Contact Lists do not display the name the same way you have it listed in the main contact list. If you change a contact name it still displays the name the way it was entered originally. But if you click on edit it displays the name the way it was changed. Cannot select multiple contacts in the main list of a secondary list to send mail to. Truly a very poor set up from the way it was many years ago. Stop trying to fix something that is not broke. Put the simplicity back in contacts so they are functional and you dont need a masters degree to figuer out how to send an email to a contact.

Why does it take so long for a contact to show up to be able to add it to a list? Do we need to go to Gmail? Seriously, fix these issues. Yahoo your updates are not appreciated at all as you broke what people use

Agree strongly. And sorting on first name, not showing the full list, on and on.
