worst airline flight ever for me and my sick Aunt
My Aunt and I were taking a trip to Cleveland from Las Vegas. Her last trip before she was going to die of ****** cancer. This was in October of 2012 . I was also not in good health with a disease called Steven Johnson syndrome so I was the stronger of the two of us. I wanted my Aunt to have a very great trip she was able to travel per her Dr orders. I ordered a wheelchair for getting to and from the gates and the layovers, Here is the problem, On the way home we landed in Atlanta and they had the wheelchair waiting for us she got into it. we were waiting to transported to the next gate to another terminal. All of a sudden this airline person tells my Aunt to get out of the wheelchair and give it to someone else. I ask what is going on they can't say or just don't want to. Our layover is only 4 minutes I need a new wheelchair. Delta can't help me they are all out. Noone to help me. I get resourceful I go walking up and down the looking for a wheelchair. I find one a delta, I grab it and take it. I have all this carry-on for both of us to bundle us up with, I kneed to push this wheelchair to the underground tram to another terminal, I have 15 minutes till my flight leaves. I am not well either very week Have a disease Steven Johnson Syndrom, down to 98 lbs, very tired, and sick but was gonna make my Aunts last trip the best she had, It was till the end and the airlines did not give a rats *** about our disabilities. I got us to the next terminal just in time 5 minutes before the plane door was closing. I called Delta to explain what happened and got nowhere with them, They were no help. Should have gotten refunds for our airfare and because of my Aunt dying I should have gotten both. Because a richer more important person complained they took away my Sick Aunts wheelchair which is not right and eillegle.
