I’d like to create content for Yahoo Life / Health. Physician | Health & Wellness | Natural Health | Digital Health | Innovation
I’m originally trained in Family Practice, but made the decision to work ‘on’ the healthcare system instead of working ‘in’ it. I realized very quickly that we have more of a ’sick care’ system than a health care system. Because of this, I left clinical practice and thought I could do better, so I co-founded a wellness and preventative care clinic in Los Angeles in 2003. Soon after we opened, patients began complaining about the L.A. traffic, so we hacked-up a Skype platform and we began doing virtual visits in 2004.
Having no formal business education, I didn’t have the skills to keep the clinic going against headwinds, so I went back to my alma mater and earned an MBA from Kellogg School of Management. Rolling all of this up, I went to Deloitte Consulting for about 10 years and learned everything I could about the healthcare industry.
In that time, we had two beautiful daughters and my wife asked me to get a role with better work/life balance. Now I’m a freelance consultant and I meet very interesting people with incredibly cool visions. Some of them have ideas that are viable and some of them don’t, and I learn from every encounter.
Because of my formal education, and my broad experience in healthcare, innovation, and technology, I have a lot to talk about! It is in the intersection of these three where I’ve been living for the past few years - and it’s a fascinating place to explore. From this experience, I can speak & write about many topics, and can create content around almost any topic related to wellbeing, healthcare, disability, fitness, innovation, and how technology plays a crucial role across all of it.
I’ve taken the liberty to list my recent publications and radio shows below. I’m also attaching my resume for your review.

Thank you in advance for your consideration. I’ve always wanted to create content on a big platform, and I’m excited about this opportunity. I hope you will decide to connect and explore next steps.
