Surprisingly, not every person in the world has a mobile phone. If you're going to "require" a phone number, a lindline should be accepted
A few minutes ago, upon signing in to my Yahoo mail, I saw that it was "required" that I enter a phone number. I have resisted this for many, many years. Already, well over 90% of my incoming phone calls a pure bunk. I rarely answer my phone anymore. However, since I read that a phone number was "required," I entered my number. Seconds later, I received an email indicating that "The following mobile number was added to your account." No! This is incorrect. I entered my landline number. I do not have, nor have I ever had a mobile phone, and I have zero interest in obtaining one. I have no texting capabilities. I do not text...period. If you would like to call me and speak with me like civilized people do, I will gladly oblige. You have my phone number. However, if you send me some sort of "robotext" nonsense, I will neither receive it nor respond. I'm perfectly happy with that. Toodles!
