One would think Yahoo email software engineer(?) can create a simple step to edit one's phone number so Yahoo can call the RIGHT number to send the Yahoo code.

No cell phone for me either. I agree with the user who suggested security questions. That seems to work very well for other web sites.

There is no cell service where I live and use my yahoo account and never has since I started my account. Nor do I have an accessible alternate email account. Why would I even want another. I have a landline phone. Please inform me as to what to do.

I do not have mobile phone accessibility where I use my yahoo account. Nor do I have an alternate accessible email. I do have a landline. What is the problem with this? Please send me an e-mail to my Yahoo account to resolve this issue.

I need to add that Yahoo needs to consider thet not everybody has a cell phone. Please make the "sequrity question" option reinstated. By answering those questions the account holder can be verified just like it was before cellphones were a common thing.

I do not have a cell phone either, yet Yahoo insists that I provide one.
