I’m incredibly disappointed with the security of my information in yahoo email! I’ve had my main account for around 20+ years. I have always opted out of the selling of my personal info or the things I do, etc. with EVERYTHING I use . To Go into my privacy settings & discover that Yahoo has intentionally changed my settings & turned on selling my information for God only knows how long, enrages me! I really thought that I was safe with yahoo and to find out I’m wrong Makes me sick to my stomach. I know it’ll never happen but I think since Yahoo went against customer’s preferences & sold our information anyway, we should get the money Yahoo made off of our personal info! I’m having so many issues with my phone #, email & home address being sold to third parties for marketing purposes + whatever else. Therefore, I always crawl through all of my settings, no matter what I’m using, to make sure that my stuff is Not being sold. I’m on the do not call list. I’ve went to the post office and had them drastically lower the amount of marketing **** I get. Knowing that yahoo lies and cheats in this manner for all I know, it’s Yahoo that’s responsible for all this garbage I’m receiving in snail mail, email & calls!!🤯 you ought to be ashamed of yourself! 🤬I’m so incredibly upset and literally sick to my stomach to find out that I expressly forbid this and you changed it anyway! And of course by “you” I mean this company not whoever reads this. I never take my anger out on customer service, but I’m sure this will never be read by an actual human Yahoo employee anyway. Seeing that Yahoo CLEARLY cares NOTHING for customer’s privacy or preferences. Only what they can get out of them by selling their personal information. So I don’t expect to hear anything back. Just have to vent my frustrations, anger, disgust, and anxiety with a constant worry of who has my personal information, including my **** phone number thanks to yahoo!
