I started using Yahoo mail 10 years ago. For a blind person like me, I find it easier to use the keyboard instead of the mouse in navigating the main menu. By pressing the shortcut key commands like the tab, shift+tab, enter, space and the different arrow keys, this allowed me to navigate the main menu unaided. By pressing the arrow keys, I can read and send and delete messages.

When Yahoo was upgraded, the shortcut key commands ceased to work. Thus I started using Gmail which provided the same ease of use as Yahoo before it was upgraded.

I hope Yahoo can restore the previous keyboard shortcuts for easier navigation for us blind users. I am using Jaws and NVDA screen readers and from time to time, I still check my Yahoo mail just to see if there the keyboard commands are already working.

Thank you for taking the time to read this letter.

    Regards,
    Dexter
