TOO LATE. I'm surprised you haven't been forced to the new version yet, almost everyone has months ago. THEY WILL NOT LISTEN TO YOU, the new version is here to stay until the next one, then the same people will crab about that and want this new version back. The new version is not that different and you'll get used to it, just like the previous 19 versions.

realize this: there is NO going back to the previous version, so stop asking. use a real stand alone email program or your ISP's webmail, they all have them. I just don't get why so many people are using yahoo for a primary account after all the years of bad service and 'upgrades' that are worse almost every time.

come on people, you're not getting the old yahoo back, it's way past that. move on to a real email program or another service. And I've had no problem with sending attachments, so not sure why you are.

learn how to use the settings features. click the gear icon for settings, go to 'more settings', go to 'Viewing email' and there's a list of preferences, and at the bottom (you may have to scroll the list) you have the Show Images in Messages choices, so choose 'Ask before showing external images.'

for pic attachments at least, just hover on the pic and it will say 'preview' and clicking on it will open it in the right side panel. I think it will do the same for pdf files etc, not sure.

just hover over the folder and it will show you how many spam emails are in there, but it won't tell you UNREAD ones, it's up to you to do 1 click and check them out and delete the **** you don't want, and move stuff you do want to the appropriate folder.

what world are you living in? Classic mail was dropped months ago and there's no coming back, that's how yahoo has done it for years with 'upgrades'. so leave an use a real email program .

to edit a contact (you need to be more specific about what you mean by edit) you click on the Contacts icon, then click/check on a contact, then tabs will open on the top and one will say 'edit details', so click that and edit what you want. simple, and pretty much the way it has been.

are all you people new? YAHOO NEVER REVERTS BACK, THEY NEVER WILL, SO GIVE UP WITH THESE CONSTANT POSTS ALREADY. Yahoo never listens, so why keep beating your head against the wall? move one, use another service.

the real question is, when will YOU people get that yahoo isn't going to revert to the previous version? THEY NEVER HAVE in all the updates they've done, so stop asking already. move to another company, there's plenty to choose from.

there is NO going back to Classic mail now, the deadline has passed and we all got updated to the new email whether we wanted it or not. SAME AS YAHOO HAS DONE THE LAST SEVERAL UPDATES. There are choices at the bottom for font size and style, as always, so learn how to use them. go to Settings and set the defaults for writing too.

Live with it or move to another service, yahoo doesn't care and will not change how they force updates on their users.

if you hover on the spam folder the number will appear, or it will say there is none. yes, it's stupid and more work/code than just having the number visible immediately like it used to be, but what else is new with yahoo programmers?

then use a different email program. anyone getting that many emails they need to reply to should be using a dedicated email program in their computer, not a web-only application with restrictions. I don't understand all these people who have busy and business email that use free yahoo email. plenty of good free email programs out there.

not yahoo's problem. you should have a 'zoom' function in your browser that can give you choices of zooming the page, or just the text. I think most will remember it on a site-by-site basis (firefox does), but it may change it for all sites. you'll just have to test it out and see. the only font size settings yahoo offers is for the writing of emails. or ask people to write you in a larger font.

who saves 240K emails? is the folder a custom folder you made? if so, click the arrow icon next to it and choose 'delete' folder and it'll all be gone. if it's a yahoo folder you can't do that, but they must allow more than 25 to be deleted at a time. click the checkbox on the left side of the top menu above the messages, that should choose 'all', but since I haven't had to delete more than 25, I don't know if it limits it to that.

Anonymous is correct. click the settings wheel icon, and just below 'inbox spacing' is a slider oval choice that SAYS "Message tabs, turn on tabs to multitask.' move the little slider to the left to turn it off. if more people would attempt to look at the features or do a help file search there would be far less postings here that are unnecessary.

on my computer screen, if you hover on the tab an 'X' will appear on the right end. click that and the tab closes. mine also does not make a new tab for every email I open, so not sure why yours does. It makes a new tab if you REPLY to an email, but it should go away when you hit send. it's not a useless feature, as it lets people quickly access emails that they're answering if they haven't hit send and are doing more than one, or need to refer to one to answer another, otherwise they have to close 1 and save as draft, then look at the other email, then go to drafts and open the one they're writing etc. just because you don't do that doesn't mean others don't find a feature useful.

and why can't you? go to sent folder, click on a message, hit 'reply all', and edit away, save as a draft if you want. or copy the message and paste into new email, edit whatever you want, save however you want, or send it. don't see what the problem is.

and why is it that by now you don't have an ad-blocker program? they're free, and they work.
