geez. if you hover the cursor over the spam folder, a trash can symbol appears, so click that and it will empty the folder. same with the other folders. and on the desktop version, there's STILL the checkbox on the left side of the top menu above the emails, so click that and it will select all, then click delete. try reading the help stuff, https://help.yahoo.com/kb/new-mail-for-desktop

you can only change the text size when WRITING emails. there's a settings choice to keep THAT text the same size and font in the Settings>more settings>writing email. that's how most webmail is. if you use firefox you can use the 'zoom text' choice and it will remember it for each site, unless they've changed that with newer versions. don't know what Chrome offers, but I'd think something similar. you can also set you browser font size to bigger, but that will affect all sites of course. that's about all you can do.

back in a previous version you used to be able to block by domain as you show, by using @xyz.com, but for some stupid reason they took that ability away, although I think it's still grandfathered in, based on my list of blocked domains from before they got more user unfriendly. so all we can do is complain to deaf ears..

to be fair, you're using THEIR email service on THEIR site with THEIR coding, and they can do anything they want, has nothing to do with how you use your COMPUTER. but yes, the stupid adblocking nags are way overdone and should stop. yahoo doesn't ever listen tho. there are ways to block that nag with adblockplus at least, but can't post it here for fear of getting my account closed.

there's an option in Settings that turns images on and off. go to gear icon in the right side menu, choose 'more settings' at the bottom of the pane that opens, go to 'Viewing Email' on the left menu, and change the preference (click the radio button) of 'Show images in messages' to 'Always, except in spam folder'. then it should always show you images, but beware spammers can track images and know if you open their email (some spam may make it to your inbox), so it's safer to keep it the way it is, but your call.

well, why is that picture there in the 1st place? you added it, right? when logged into your mail account, click on your name at the top right (if on a desktop, not sure where it is on a phone), click the Account Info link in the dropdown menu that appears. You should see a page with various account info/choices, including the profile pic under Personal Info. click on the pic when you see the hand cursor show, and see if you get a delete choice. you may need to right click instead. I don't have a profile pic, so when I click on mine it opens my computer files for me to choose a pic, so I assume if you have a pic already, you will get a delete option, or you may have to click the Edit link after deleting the pic so it updates the profile. That's the only place I see that shows a pic for accounts. the help file tells you how to CHANGE the pic, but nothing about deleting it: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/update-yahoo-account-picture-sln25611.html
google results are mostly old and out of date for the instructions. good luck.

it does when you hover on the folder, but yes, they should have it so it shows the number all the time like it used to, so you can quickly see if you have any. dumb programmers again.

then ENTER the name in reverse. yahoo doesn't listen to its customers, so just take the time and edit your contacts and switch the names in the 1st name/last name fields.

you used to be able to block a DOMAIN just by entering "@vresp.com", but that doesn't seem to work anymore, although I have lots of those in my block list from previous versions, and they still seem to work. but, you can try using the Filters option under Settings>More settings, and see if you can figure out how to name the fields so messages that start by subject or sender that you don't want can be sent to the trash file, but not blocked. yahoo mail help file page: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/new-mail-for-desktop/set-filters-sln15994.html

it may take time, but just go edit the contacts and switch 1st name/last name, and voila. yahoo doesn't listen to its users, so do it yourself.

what are you trying to say, it makes no sense? mark them as spam and block the senders address. some will be from multiple sources, so you just keep blocking addresses and reporting as spam and eventually yahoo may block those emails.

"In the "list mode" of displaying email, I would love to see the email address of the sender." not sure what you're talking about. I don't see any 'list mode' in the settings for a desktop, and I can see the senders address by holding the cursor over their name, so you should be able to see that too.
