As far as the guy saying this could unfairly impact managers that have guys with 2 starts a week, it usually won't. I have had this in my ESPN leagues for the past 4 years and it usually is not a problem. Plus, it adds a little strategy as to using the best matchups possible instead of just blindly throwing out guys every week. Also, you don't have to use it if you don't want to, we just want the option to.
My league is a H2H scoring league. Not category based. It becomes a big deal when a guy drafts all 3 starting slots and 8 bench slots as pitching and rotates them daily. He could have anywhere from 11 to 22 starts a week, which becomes problematic as that would heavily base the scoring on pitching and hitting would take a back seat.
Yes, this. Or better yet, a Games Started limit. Don't punish a team that has a phenomenal week and has guys that go 8+ innings in a start. Just use a 10 GS limit for SP's or something along those lines. I need this for my H2H league otherwise teams will fill all of their bench slots with pitching and stream them daily (not using a weekly lineup, not as fun or realistic IMO).
I am switching my league over from ESPN this year and thought this was a no-brainer option. Or possibly you could add a max roster position allowable like ESPN has too.
Yes, you need a SP games started limit, otherwise teams will abuse this in daily H2H leagues. Even if you limit the number of transactions, they can still draft all pitching as bench slots and sub pitchers daily. I can't conceive how Yahoo does not already have this.
A max allowable roster position of certain positions would also remedy this situation.
