Thanks for the quick reply. I tried this to no avail, but I appreciate your efforts. My flash was installed and up to date.
But I figured it out! It turns out my AdBlock extension was preventing the videos and many images from displaying. I'm not sure why this doesn't occur with other websites – I've never had a problem viewing content on other webpages due to AdBlock. Regardless, I manually added Yahoo! Tech to the a list of pages that AdBlock does not affect, and presto, problem solved.
I hope this helps others who are having issues viewing Yahoo! content in Safari.

Try disabling AdBlock. You don't have to turn it off completely if you don't want to -- just add Yahoo! to the list of pages that AdBlock does not affect. Worked for me.
