I agree - dashed, dotted, parallel dashed, etc. lines would great.

We are currently given a choice of multiple shades of a few colors. I often have 6 or 7 lines displayed at one time and I have a hard time telling a light red line from a medium red line. So, in addition to the dashes, dots, etc., could you do more distinct colors, with fewer shades of each color? Thanks!

I agree - get rid of the scroll = time zoom function.

When I am looking at my Yahoo portfolio, scroll moves the view up and down. When I switch over to a chart, it's just natural to use the scroll to try to move the view up and down. If you want to keep the "gee-wiz" zoom feature for the charts, put a slider button at the bottom of the chart and let us choose when to zoom..

Please stop screwing with us. Give us a choice to continue to use the previous effective & functional charts. Your Beta version is more like a bug ridden Alpha. What marketing logic is driving you to really, really upset your clients?

If one ticker on the old charts over lapped another ticker's info, you could "ghost" (temporarily hide) the first ticker, allowing you to read the 2nd ticker's data. This seems to be missing on the new charts.

This feature would save having to delete the first ticker, read the 2nd ticker, then go through re-entering the first ticker, re-selecting its color & its line width, and re-saving it.

Whoa! A sign of life at Yahoo. Someone added the "Gathering Feedback" signage to all the comments complaining about the new charts. Not bad progress for 2 -3 months of futzing with the new charts. Now if you could just hit the "reset" button and go back to the old charts.

I'm trying to picture the mind set of the person at Yahoo who is controlling these changes. Read the pleas of the people below asking to be given the option to go back to the original charts. Would not a normal human feel bad about causing this pain? Forcing us to suffer adds few refinements, especially when you don't seem to act on the resulting suggestions.

Here's an obvious thought - if the Beta was better, there would be many hundreds of people saying how much they love it. I don't see that among the comments. One or two stray outliers say they like parts of it, but the vast majority hate it and seem to be edging towards hating Yahoo. Interesting Market plan.

Why do you force us to test your betas? Betas should be options for early adapters and other brave souls. Many of us (probably the most upset ones) need workable charts every day. I can not lose the use of charts at the whim of someone who has a "neat new idea" to try.

You folks have caused us a lot of hassle earlier when you messed with the portfolio views. Now you are forcing us to check your beta charts (which really should be called "alphas", they are that rough & inconsistent). Please give us the option to avoid your testing and to stay with the familiar old charts.

We are not just accounts - we are real people on this end and you are causing us real problems.

Having the scroll wheel change the time frame is a bad idea. It's way too easy to bump it, causing me to constantly have to check that it still shows the correct time interval. If I want to change the time interval, make me click a dedicated button or hold a key down and then activate the scroll wheel (which would make it a nice, useable feature).
