An error occurred while saving the comment james seeglitz commentedI just basically said the same thing , account since 97 and active banking and other services attached and they pulled the plug "because I didn't login through the web interface"
I guess hitting the smtp a couple times a year didn't fit the bill, all the lost accounts , usernames, registrations , the ongoing recover action to multiple crypto losses due to exchange closures, business contacts, other settlements and payments, many ppl met along the way all lost for what? Why treat a 20+ year account with such disregard when it's active, really isn't using all that much space , be less than 250 mb if they filtered spam and had a better way to bulk delete it , without using 3rd party account management, but it's a classic account of a period in time , I honestly enjoyed reading some of the liveleak replies as well as the hilarious royal Nigerian long lost family trying to get their royal billions out of the country, it all was dated and interesting as a snapshot in time, gone , gone gone gone , so sorry , it's mind blowing -

An error occurred while saving the comment james seeglitz commentedI lost all my claim info and correspondence to cryptopia as well as all the defunct accounts and emails and user names , registrations that had accumulated since creating this address in 1996, I didn't use it for 3 months despite up to date banking info still being sent to it and it was deleted and luckily enough I was able to recover the address but not the contents and no staff was helpful with the process despite finally getting some reply on Twitter (X) , deeply frustrated, disgusted yahoo could have been the best email, you just needed to allocate the gig of space Gmail gave with its start and allow pop3/smtp so ppl could use the service with a 3rd party client. You relegated yourself to another MySpace story, sure you will hang on , but DogPile was once the goto search engine to before "don't be evil" had every code enthusiast donating time and ideas to the big red beast. Yahoo, fix your mess, treat legacy users who have been with the company since the beginning better service, cut costs in overhead and salaries, not service

Yahoo, WE NEED A NAME , one thing the internet can't stand is someone mean to cats! And a bulk email deleter flippantly firing on accounts created in the 1990s , PRE Y2K!!!! Is going to be a cat hater or at least have some tendencies to show signs of one, and I WILL NOT STAND FOR IT!!! I will shout from the hills, I will shout from the rooftops "my email account survived Y2K but not yahoo greedy cat hating execs in 2024", THIS CANNOT STAND!, THIS WILL NOT STAND!!!, The 7337 h4x0r 4chan and the based 2600 internet users from the 90s will find out, and they will fk around, RESTORE THE ACCOUNTS OR OPEN THE GATES OF **** , The choice is yours , so choose wisely. The ENEMY IS AT YOUR GATES AND WE HAVE DEMANDS
