Coming back to repeat how awful this "feature" is. It's making my desktop email *unusable*. Not only are the "helpful summaries" not necessarily accurate, and always redundant, they are making it impossible for me to see the actual email with the relevant info visible without physically scrolling down.
I will only do email on my phone now, and that has its own set of inconveniences that the classic version DID NOT HAVE. Get rid of it altogether, or at least provide the option to TURN IT OFF.
Adding that I pay for my Yahoo email, and in addition have not asked for this option nor would ever give my permission for AI to scan my emails in order to summarize them. This is unacceptable. An error occurred while saving the comment Kathy Manchip commented
I don't want any AI summaries, I need an opt out option, they are a waste of time and space and are unnecessary and highly annoying

The latest in the horrendous new version is: I cannot rename my folders. This is absolutely a nightmare, I want the classic version back that actually worked great, for years, why have you broken something that was working fine? I've had this account for 25+ years, I don't want to change, but if you guys don't get this figured out, I'm out.
Hey hi, I see the new Terms of Service has a li'l AI update. I quote "by utilizing our Services you consent to sharing data that you provide to us, or that resides within your Yahoo account inbox with our AI Providers for the purpose of enhancing features within our Services made available to you. In some instances, use of AI query features may be governed by the AI Provider's terms of service and privacy policy." It also goes on to say AI generated content "may contain inaccuracies" and not to rely on them, Yahoo guarantees nothing etc etc.
Bro, it also says if we don't agree to the terms we can cancel out accounts, which, you got it. It's been 25 years. I'm genuinely sad about this, Yahoo has been a perfectly good service for literally decades. I do wonder how many other users will be walking. Thanks for the years it worked, and also, byeeee
