There is a REASON why we didn't switch over after trying this ugly, needlessly frustrating new version.
Is it shareholders? Are they the reason behind """fixing""" what isn't broken? People with no clue whatsoever about user friendliness, barking out "mobile users"? I have a mobile phone, yes. I do not look at email on it, ever. That's annoying. Desktops are easier for mail.
Your platform is heavily populated with millennials who likely have another 40+ years of life to live. If we go find something else that suits our needs better, that's a lot of users you're losing.
Even this little text box, by the way, IS INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATING. I can't change the TINY box size to be able to select a line of text in the middle to delete it. It keeps whipping upwards selecting way too much text at the top, then whipping downwards to select too much text at the bottom. Absolutely infuriating, user unfriendly, TERRIBLE. Do you think this will keep us from writing longer messages? It won't. We can type them elsewhere and paste them here or, as is the case with me, just put up with awful formatting because we're that upset about the nonsense. I type 100wpm and I'm not afraid to do so.
The only redeeming quality is that you're at least listening to feedback, but are you going to ACT on the feedback? Or do you just hope that people will get used to it and do what you want? Frustration and infuriation stay with people even if they quiet down and they do then leave over it.
BlueSky is better than Twitter now. It gives users the simple, user friendly experience they like and want. Even people who use Twitter HATE IT now. Everyone who uses BlueSky loves it, it's just not got as many celebrities on it yet, but that is changing.
Learn the lesson. Give us back what we liked before we go get used to something more user-friendly.
