You need to go back and review what worked in the old model, before you discard it. This is a human factors disaster. For one thing, stop the automatic categorizing of priority mail. Let the user decide if they want this. And if you implement something like this, make it much more sophisticated. For example, mail from specific sources could be automatically placed in designated folders, set up by the user. And if the user does not want this, keep all of the mail in one place. Google really messed up by linking response documents to other documents, and the relative simplicity of Yahoo mail made it much better. But if you want to change, you need to be much more sophisticated about it. Right now, this is getting very dysfunctional for me.
