On the left Pane where you choose which email folders to view (like: Inbox, Sent, Custom Folders, etc.), if I scroll to the very bottom there is a dot-dot-dot that I have to expand to see things like Trash folder, Settings, etc. Anyway, if this is the extreme bottom of the Navigation pane, and nothing else in the pane is collapsed except nested custom folders... why does the bottom-most item need to be collapsed? Even worse it's collapsed and I have no idea what in there (no descriptor) so I have to hit the dot-dot-dot every time just to find out. At the time I was looking for Spam and Trash folders since they weren't anywhere else in the navigation tree.

Row shading of SELECTED email matches shading of ANY READ message. Confusing to know what email I am reading in the preview pane when going back-and-forth between preview and the Inbox navigation.
