Hover over (but do not click on) the link to the title of the article you dislike, then click on the red X to right of the article's title. You may get a Like/Dislike option. If you chose "I do not like" prompt, you usually get four four options that allow you to specify the reason you dislike having that article on your news feed. Check the option that best describes your reason for disliking the article; the fourth option, "Other Reason," allows you to write a brief narrative explaining, in a few sentences, your reason for finding the article objectionable.

Alternatively, you will be given a forced choice of either two or three reasons you object to an article. One option describes the category of news, for instance "Arts and Entertainment." The next category is more describes a particular category of "Arts and Entertainment", for example, "Reality TV.." In some cases, there is a third category that identifies the performer(s.) featured in the article. You can chose from one to three reasons you dislike the article; there is no narrative option. For example, if you like both the, "Arts and Entertainment" category and "Reality TV," but are offended to the core of your being by "The Kardashians", articles from the other two categories will continue to appear on your news feed, but the Kardashians will be banished forever.

Try it. It works. If it doesn't, try again, but just once. Contact Yahoo Feedback, tell them about the problem, and they will fix it. They have been very responsive to my questions and complaints, (No, I don't work for Yahoo, but if they were to offer me a job, I'd consider it.)
