Yahoo Search does not index Tifinagh (ⵜⵉⴼⵉⵏⴰⵖ) script (Unicode U+2D30–U+2D7F)
Hi,
Queries entered in Tifinagh script (ⵜⵉⴼⵉⵏⴰⵖ) return no relevant results on Yahoo Search, while Google search engine index and display Tifinagh content correctly.
Tifinagh is the official script of Tamazight in Morocco (since 2003) and widely used across North Africa. it is also fully standardized in Unicode (U+2D30–U+2D7F). Yahoo Search should parse and index it like Arabic or Hebrew.
The problem is that Yahoo search normalizes or ignores Tifinagh queries, defaulting to Latin-script results. thing that limits accessibility for Amazigh communities and reduces visibility of Unicode-compliant content.
Please update Yahoo Search’s query handling and indexing to support Tifinagh script…1st ranked
