First, not being able to see full threads is not smart. People want to be able to respond.

Bring back the old message boards, no one wants threads that they can't review and respond to. What you have done is run away from the vile aspect of your boards, which brings in a great amount of visitors to your site. Bottom line is, you are going to have to deal with some awful people to keep up the interest in your message boards.
