"White people are more likely than people of color to say their community does well in offering health care for older adults"
this is the reason why we need the comment section back. What a racist loaded post against Caucasian people. If this was the other way around there would be **** to pay. Healthcare was originally set up for those that worked and earned the ability to apply. Small business that offered low paying position offered health care. Some of these low paying jobs were not good enough for some and they choose not to apply. Most of us that have good jobs now with benefits started out on the bottom and worked our way up the ladder or found better jobs after years of working a shitty one. Even went to night school to better ourselves and not hang out on the corners ruining others lives. So as we got older we had something to fall back on. So now we are to blame????? For those that did not want to do this now complain as they get older that they missed out.fortunately in some communities the people there worked hard and had nothing handed to them. They earned a retirement and health care. In other communities the people there decide not to work or decided to continue their criminal enterprises which does not offer neither retirement or healthcare. They chose a different path and now they want those that sacrificed by working 2-3 jobs to make them feel bad. Sorry White privilege does not mean handouts it means making something for yourself over a period of time with hard work and sacrifice. .

If this is why you want commentary back, you have convinced me it should stay shut down.
That was simply a fact: surveys show greater satisfaction among whites than blacks. If it were reversed, actually reversed, then that would be a fact. A very unusual fact since there is ample evidence that there are great disparities in health care -- even for hard-working, upper middle class, prominent black people. Still, it would be reported.
I guess I shouldn't take your comment seriously. It is an artifact, a confabulation of beliefs.
