Why do we have to wade through all these stupid stories about religion on "Easter"? YOU are aware that most people are, in fact, atheists,
although certainly most of them are too cowardly to admit it. But look here, all you people who purport to be "christians"--- when you have a "religion" people claim to practice, but almost every single thing they do violates its tenets, then you don't really have a "religion."
And in any case, most of the developed world, outside of the US, has realized that religion is simply a human invention whose time is passing away, and that these bible thumpers and genuflectors of various stripes are usually out to take our money.
MANY OF US have relegated religion to the place it belongs: in the private lives of those who want to practice it. This is what we need to continue to do here in the US. You should be absolutely free to pray and weep and wail and crawl on your belly to your deity. You can talk in tongues, wave your arms at the sky, sprinkle water on babies' heads, and you can even handle snakes if that's part of your religious thing. BUT don't expect ME to participate, and don't shove your **** in my face.
IF YOU WANT TO PRACTICE RELIGION, DO IT IN YOUR OWN SPACE. I DON'T WANT TO HAVE TO LISTEN TO YOUR PREPOSTEROUS FAIRY STORIES IN MY SPACE AND ON MY TIME.
