The user profile should include the total number of dislikes accumulated

The user (and others) should be able to know the total number of dislikes as well as the number of likes for their posted comments. Why is this information being withheld? If the idea is that it will make the user "feel bad" perhaps they are too fragile and shouldn't be posting at all.
