too many sponsored news articles make the site unbearable. Either make them a different color or something so at least they can be bypassed
make sponsored headlines a different color so they can be easily differentiated from "real" news stories

Open New Tab When Clicking on Article
When you click on an article link from the News page, the article clicked on should open in a new tab. That way you can keep track of where you are on the news page better. Also, if you click on Mail from the news page, the Mail should open in a new tab so you do not lose your place on the news page.

Why can't I comment on Katic Couric articles??
All articles should be allowed to be commented on, including old withered fossils like Katie Couric...

Allowing comments to Katie Couric ?
How about allowing comments to Katie Couric ? Afraid of public opinion ?

Stop listing articles for sites that charge for access.
In my area "The Grass Valley Union" is always listed in my local news. However this site only provides content to subscribers of their paper, or one must pay for access. This is inappropriate and a joke. It discredits Yahoo to link to such sites in the regular news listings.

sponsored links
The "sponsored links" in the news feed are pretty stinky for the most part. Pretty weak and anticlimactic info cluttered with ads.

Answers.com is fraud
Get honest and straight. Cut the BS that doesn't answer real questions but just leads to commercials.

Get rid of "Must Watch". I don't want animated ANYTHING, and you have made an annoying distraction that cannot be turned off. STOP!
Read the other suggestions! Everyone is telling you the same thing-animated ads and "Must Watches" are irritating! We just want to read!

Stop posting content from Answers.com!!! It's a BS website anyway and the lists are cruel, blatantly infuriating, wrong and unworthy of U.
Yes post interesting, uplifting or amusing stories. Not the **** you usually post.

Allow comments on Katie Couric's page. I won't read her article otherwise. She's a coward for not allowing them.
Allow comments on Katie Couric's articles. I look for that first, and when I don't see them I don't read her article. Who the **** does she think she is just preaching to us? Her "accomplishments" and "prestige" come from corporations, not the public. Unless I can comment on her article I couldn't give a **** what she says. She's an ignorant, biased, unjust reporter with a clear agenda. If you don't allow comments I can always start contacting her advertisers to let them know they are wasting their money, since no one is reading her. You're getting false numbers…

Why not add a print icon so we can print to PDF some of your news articles?
Various other web sites like WSJ, Washington Post, other magazines etc offer the option to print their article and save for later reading which includes pictures that were in the web version of the news story. I've not found that so far in my first uses of your email access so please advise where I may have missed this if already available. Thanks!

Stop the "must watch" vidoes that automatically play on various Yahoo! News pages!
Those videos that automatically start up are so annoying that I am about to drop Yahoo! News as my default news page. bbc.com is looking better and better each day.
