  1. Let people comment!!

Let people comment! Why did you disable comments, because most of them disagreed with your content? FREE SPEECH. Never, ever suppress free speech. Aren't you a NEWS site? Then for goodness sake, have free speech!

  2. allow comments

your "comments" section was the ONLY forum where thoughts DIRECTLY related to published news articles was available
    .
every opinion, from the patently absurd, ignorant, anti-American rants to thoughtful, moderately worded, aspirational missives was allowed ... and NECESSARY
    .
only with that full range of comments (unrestricted by such nonsense as "tweet" length" or only specific responses to a lone posting) is our citizenry able to gauge and react to what many are thinking

  4. Commenting

Time to stop the censorship. Return the comment section to the articles. Yahoo is so far left, they fall into the trap of censoring people that don't agree with them. Attention Yahoo leadership : This is America. Freedom of speech is for everybody, not just bias news corporation. Yeah, most times your articles are not backed up by facts or only tell one side, we still want our voices to be heard. Stop the infantile journalists. Send some of them back to school. All this, and Yahoo will just ignore us. SSDD

  5. comments

Yahoo thinks citizens are stupid. We see that you are trying to silence the voice of conservatives by removing the comments option. Doing this 3 months before the election, just PROVES yahoo's left wing liberal bias.

  11. Yahoo taking away the comment section is censorship.

When Yahoo pulled the comment section, they effectively took the voice away from everyone that disagrees with them and other liberal MSM outlets. They censored Americans. Now, they they just post as much liberally slanted content as they like with no dissenting voices. That isn't journalism. That is conditioning. They are indoctrinating America to think what they want America to think. Well, I speak for millions of Americans that aren't buying their BS. Honestly, almost all of their news sources are Huff Post, Salon, and other left wing platforms. Yahoo is biased.

  15. Dear Yahoo, Why is your news content so left-biased? Can you please work on being more fair in your reporting and article selection?

Yahoo News would be be much better if it was more fair. There are too many left leaning articles and not enough conservative. Like most Americans, I want fair reporting. Also please turn comments back on.

  16. like/dislike button

I would like the opportunity to comment on the news articles that lead my feeds. I think a like/dislike button would help the editors recognize that many of the articles are too extreme and the audience is expecting more balanced coverage or at least a dissenting opinion article attached.

  18. New News Site about Excellence

    Hello,

My name is Brian Hurlburt, host of the Magnifying Excellence Podcast powered by xlete.com. The first give guests of the podcast were baseball hall of famer Greg Maddux, US Naval Academy graduate and former Raiders running back Napoleon McCallum, entertainer and business woman Susan Anton, basketball hall of famer and announcer Bill Walton and former baseball player and current St. Louis Cardinals pitching coach Mike Maddux. Besides the podcast, we also write about a lot of different topics about Excellence and I am hoping to be considered for Yahoo News. Please advise how to best go about this. Thanks.

  19. Return the comments area.

As Yahoo continues to "editorialize" instead of "reporting" the "news", the comments section served to provide a forum for actual intelligent discussion of the topic presented. Who is Yahoo afraid of "triggering"?

  20. Your goal are the comments feature are not compatible

Your goal "to create a safe and engaging place for users to connect over interests and passions" isn't really compatible with the comments feature. I'll speculate that you're going to end up in a never-ending policing effort if you continue down this path. You may want to rethink your intentions and create a feature that's compatible with your goal, like a hobby interest forum. Or better yet, consider this wild and crazy idea... pick a goal that's compatible with the comments feature and bring it back.
