For the 2020 short Yahoo baseball season - create an option for a double elimination playoff tournament for the one-win leagues that are 20 teams big. I believe a double elimination tournament is 9 weeks. This would be perfect since baseball will be only 9 weeks long for the COVID-19 shortened season.
Thanks for your suggestion. I will pass that along to our product team to review.
Tried contact Yahoo specialist, it says come back later. All day, every day. Tried emailing, I get error that it is on Yahoo end and to try later. All day, every day.
Problem is I set up league to be 8/10 teams make playoffs, somehow was changed to 4/10 teams by Yahoo. Now I have 4 unhappy teams and no way to contact support.
Thank you for reaching out.
We apologize if the changes in your fantasy league did not keep.
Unfortunately, since there are less than 2 weeks left in the season, there would be no way to have an 8 team playoff as this requires a 3 week playoff.
If you do need assistance and can’t reach customer support at help.yahoo.com, you can contact us @YahooFantasyCC on Twitter.
You should really allow any week to be selected for the playoffs to begin. If a league only wants to play through July for instance, they should be able to.
Thank you for taking the time to reach out with this feedback. I will relay this to our product team.
This would be an option for leagues with two divisions. Let the division champions play the last week for the title. Especially this year with a much shorter schedule it could enhance the regular season. Take a 10 man league with two divisions. Seems like the regular season will be 9 weeks this year. So each team plays their divisional opponent twice and the division champs face off the last week. Yes I realize you don't play half your league, but this emphasizes the importance of winning your division. A good commissioner will put teams in divisions to promote competition among friends. I know it is not for everyone, but at least make an option for those that do.

What the heck is going on? The managers in my league are trying to pick up players and getting error code Error #732?
The managers in my league are trying to pick up players and getting error code Error #732? It states that they have been eliminated from the playoffs?? We had it set for the end of the year and now it says AUGUST! How the heck do I fix this!! Also getting help on Fantasy sports is a joke!
This issue should now be resolved. Please reach out on Twitter @YahooFantasyCC or via help.yahoo.com if it’s not.
The new 9 week schedule has been updated in our leagues but in the option to edit league settings, the playoff list has the old values (pointing to nonexistant weeks 20-25) its rather confusing.
Leagues IDs: ID# 74325
We’re aware of this issue and are working on resolving this as soon as possible. I apologize for the inconvenience.
There is only going to be 9 weeks total for baseball. 7 weeks for the league then 2 weeks for playoffs. When will yahoo display this in our leagues?
Thank you for your feedback.
Our engineering team is working to get updated dates, formats and schedules for new and existing leagues as soon as possible.

As described with other posts, open up the scheduling and playoff options more. I mean the MLB schedule this year is unlike any other, so give fantasy leagues more scheduling options for regular season and playoffs. Here is a playoff option that maybe wasn't mentioned...how about the option of no playoffs! I am running a 10-team H2H league and no playoffs would be the perfect option for our league. All 10 teams could play each other once during the 9-week MLB regular season and the league champion can be decided that way.
Given the length of the short regular season, an interesting option could be including the actual MLB playoffs and although the player pool shrinks, a draft could be more impactful if focused on players who may play deeper into the IRL playoffs.
This would extend fantasy leagues and create an interesting premise to what will already be a weird season of possible experiments.
Thanks for your feedback.
In a normal year the fantasy league runs through the regular season and does not include the MLB playoffs since all teams are not participating and fantasy managers would lose players.
It is unlikely the playoffs would be included in a fantasy season but your suggestion will be provided to our product team.
Please allow commissioners to add this as a possible setting. It is already offered by ESPN, CBS, and Fantrax, and is one of the very few settings that Yahoo is behind the 8ball on.
2 week match-ups remove the importance of 2 start SPs in the playoffs, and are a better way to determine who the best team after a very long baseball season.
Let's change this for 2020!
Thanks for the feedback! We can keep this in mind for future releases.
Would like to be able to set a four-team playoff group, with redrafts, to extend through the World Series. We do it now, by hand, but would be great if the Yahoo system would continue to score it for us.
What is all this "end baseball early" stuff?
Thank you for this feedback. I will relay this to our product team for review.
Allow commissioners to set which weeks their playoffs will start & end. week 25 frequently ends up with players resting, etc. We would like to start the playoffs a week or two early so that we can end on week 24.
Thanks for reaching out to us and providing your feedback.
A commissioner of a Private League can edit the playoff system and playoff weeks for their league. You can learn more about playoffs in head-to-head leagues by going to https://help.yahoo.com/kb/head-to-head-playoffs-fantasy-baseball-sln6780.html.
