Scoring - Max games per week in H2H leagues
Limit the number of games played per week by a team in H2H leagues.

Hi,
Please include maximum games allowed option in head to head leagues. For example: I have below average players, but because they have 47 games scheduled to play that week, I'm gonna beat a better team because they have 40 games scheduled vs me.
This will increase strategy and if I have 47 games scheduled for my players, but the maximum allowed is 40, that means I will have to strategically bench 7 games and will pay attention to rest days, matchups and which guys I need to bench.
This allows the better managed team and the better overall team, a better chance to win.

I have to agree with this post. Not necessarily have it for every league, but at least give the commissioner the option to set a weekly cap of games/players to be played. It would also make it strategic to choose who you want to play against your weekly opponent.

This would also be unnecessary for my leagues as I dont play weekly matchups that count for 1 win. And I dont use matchups as a tie breaker for the problem you stated above. If you play head to head but use categories as wins, losses and ties, you have the ability to balance this out over the course of a season. Each player has the potential for 82 games.

Our league has a maximum of 50 moves because we don’t have the time to stream players daily. However, that means that winning your week is almost solely based on how many games your team plays that week. It’s getting pretty lame.

I have been using !Yahoo Fantasy Basketball since 2000...19 years!!!! We only stay because the group and commissioner do not want to put in the work to switch to a different platform. It seems like !Yahoo Fantasy has the same idea; they are too lazy to make the platform better because of users like mine where majority of the old guys are too lazy to make things better.
!Yahoo Fantasy, Please allow for the option to set a max number of games per week. This is not a difficult fix. You do not have to make it complicated with limits by position etc. Just allow for setting a max per week. This will make the game play much more fun.
Thanks. -

There are weekly leagues that may be better suited for that idea.
Most of us now are used to the streaming players aspect of these weekly matchups. And many of us enjoy finding players based upon their # of games/wk. Plus, as someone else pointed out, with so many players taking nights off now limiting the number of games will not make it any more even. -

Agreed with Francisco. You sound like a typical millenial though. I joined this thing with rules set in place. I don't like it. Change the rules to better suit me and adapt to my needs.
Get lost.

Sorry, bro. That is just how NBA schedule works. On some ocassions it will benefit you and in some other it will not. In order to deal with this, I avoid having two or more players from the same team in my roster. It really hurts when that team plays only two games during the week.

Yea this has been my biggest concern with Yahoo H2H fantasy leagues. We had a league meeting on this 2 weeks ago and decided to stick with ESPN because of the lack of weekly games played limits on Yahoo.
Everything else on Yahoo is superior to ESPN Fantasy sports but we just cant make the switch without weekly game limts
Agreed

i dont understand how yahoo hasnt put this option in after 7 plus years!
How have you guys not fixed this yet?? One of the most important features to prevent uneven weeks.
HOW yahoo....how?????
Fix this

espn allows you to do 30,32,34,36,40 etc
yahoo only allows 32? this is silly.
When a team plays 40 games and another team plays 35 , its pretty **** hard for the team playing 35 games to win.
This feature will make things most fair.
How has this not been implemented in the last 6 or so years?

Ok there are comments here from 2015 asking for this feature, that I was quite oblivious to.
If you guys need a guinea pig league to feature flag and test you need to hit me up. Lets bring this to your current and NEW user base. :)

Wow, Adam Kroon is a genius. If yahoo follows through with this I’d be willing to move multiple fantasy leagues to the platform.

My league would totally switch over if this was implemented on Yahoo, more customization means more fun!

Hey,
My legacy h2h fantasy basketball league is currently using ESPN as its platform.
ESPN currently implements a weekly games played cap for each team, which we set to 35. For example:
- my team has 34 games played on Saturday night, and 9 players playing the following day
- my team accumulates all stats generated by players for a total of 43 games by the end of Sunday nightWe feel that this feature adds a layer of strategy to our league, making GMs have to decide which games they want to choose instead of just having ALL games available to them.
We're currently trying to move away from ESPN, because their product is quite inferior compared to other products including yahoo, however GMs in our league feel that this one issue is a sticking point for the transition.
I'd love to get a chance to talk to someone about this feature if possible. We've already found your customer service to be exceptional compared to ESPN!
Thanks!
