Rosters - Position eligibility requests 2025-26
Position eligibility requests for the 2025-26 season.
We will continue evaluating players for new positions going forward and make updates where appropriate.
Entire list of updated players for the 25/26 season: https://basketball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/nba/playerchanges?type=pos
As of 10/4/23, we added the option for Commissioners to award position eligibility to players that haven't earned it by Yahoo Fantasy's standards yet. Keep in mind, this tool will only allow commissioners to add positions, not edit or remove them. Commissioners can add new positions using the steps here: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/SLN7057.html

Payton Pritchard has started as SG every game for the Celtics so far this season. This is what he is listed as on the official NBA website. On Yahoo Fantasy, he’s only eligible for PG. Adding SG eligibility to Payton would make his player more consistent with real life.

Collin Murray-Boyles has now started multiple games at center and is clearly a PF/C for the Raptors. He needs the proper eligibility at PF/C.

Collin Murray-Boyles (Toronto Raptors) plays both the center and power forward position and should have eligibility for both. He is the primary backup at center and sometimes slides over to the PF. This should be adjusted on Yahoo. Thanks.

Obi Topping should have C designation. He has played 48 percent of his minutes this year at C according to Basketball Reference.

Please add SG eligibility for Kon Knueppel. The stats of the first few games clearly show that he plays a decent chuck of his minutes on the two (42% of minutes so far), see https://cleaningtheglass.com/stats/player/5497/positions#tab-team_efficiency.
ESPN also shows him as Guard, see https://www.espn.com/nba/team/depth/_/name/cha -

Please add SF eligibility for Tre Jones. Last season he played nearly 20% of his minutes at SF for the Bulls, see https://cleaningtheglass.com/stats/player/4785/positions#tab-team_efficiency.

Can you add SG eligibility for Mikal Bridges? I'm confused why he is listed at SF and PF but not SG. In the playoffs last year, he started at guard with Brunson, while OG Anunoby and Towns were at the forwards and Mitchell Robinson was center. Once Robinson comes back, they will presumably use the same lineup with Bridges at guard. I was very surprised to see him only have forward eligibility.
Thanks!
