You can improve your English grammar. In your story about painting over potholes, you write that the council left the residents ''confuse".
I notice that quite often there are elementary mistakes in English. You may want to have someone read over the story lines carefully. Not only was the mistake made in the title, it is repeated in the first sentence of the story.

Remove the sponsored "stories" on the main page
The home page is in need of a serious cleanup. There are so many "sponsored" links disguised as news that it has become very difficult to navigate. Fat-burning ads, "speed up your pc" scams...this is not content worthy of a legitimate site.
Take a cue from Google: their landing page is clean and uncluttered. When I visit yahoo I want to check the news or get my mail, and I don't mind some ads, but when there are just as many ads as actual stories the site becomes tedious and unuseable.

Please show the games played stat in the fantasy app
You cannot see how many games players have played when using the fantasy hockey app. This information is integral for estimating player value based on his current stats. For example, the fantasy app currently tells me that Kevin Shattenkirk only has one assist and has an overall rank of 645. It doesn't tell me that he has only played 4 of 15 games this season, as he's been sidelined with a groin injury. I don't like the fluffy news stories that you put on your homepage. It's not news and it's an insult to the intelligence of many people.
Let people customize their news sources on the Yahoo news page or at least try to post stories that actually matter to most people.
